Channel orders that follow your customer discount groups
When an order arrives from a marketplace, web store or trading partner, Tilted Channels turns it into a Sage 200 sales order without anyone keying it in. The aim has always been that a converted order should look exactly like one your team entered by hand, and this month we closed another gap.
When a channel sends its own discount for a line, Channels uses it. When it does not, Channels used to copy the customer's standard line discount onto the order itself, and that shortcut did not always agree with Sage. A customer in a discount group with a surcharge, for example, could end up with a discount Sage would never have given them.
Channels now leaves that calculation to Sage. Where the channel sends no discount, Sage 200 works out each line's discounted price exactly as it would for an order keyed in Sales Order Processing, using the customer's discount group and everything else you have set up. There is nothing new to configure: the terms you maintain in Sage are the terms your channel orders follow.
It is a small change, but it is the kind that matters at month end: fewer orders to check by hand, and margins that come out as Sage expects. If you would like to know how Tilted Channels could take order entry off your team's plate, get in touch.
