More US retail EDI on the way
Following June's certification, this month Tilted Channels completed its build for another major US retailer, covering both of its supplier programmes: purchase orders (850) and their acknowledgements, advance ship notices (856) and invoices (810), with an inventory feed (846). Certification with the retailer is now under way.
Every US retailer has its own flavour of X12, from the version it uses to the segments it insists on. Channels holds a layout per partner, so supporting a new retailer is a matter of building and certifying its layout rather than changing how you work in Sage 200.
Channels also now takes product identifiers from the retailer's order first, falling back to the Sage value, so the codes each retailer expects to see come back to it on the shipment notices and invoices.
If a retailer has asked you to trade by EDI, we can tell you what is involved.
